'I was looking for an affordable audio processor for my home studio. After many hardware processors I was not satisfied with the sound of these "boxes". While scouring the FM band I came across the sound of Omroep Flevoland, this sound struck me immediately! What a wonderful open and natural sound with a fine round bass, this was what I was looking for!

Now I also purchased the Omnia SST and Edwin has made a custom preset for me. The purchase and installation went pretty smoothly with the help of Triple Audio.

The Omnia SST audio processing software is based on a powerful processing engine designed by Hans van Zutphen and is the first to support the Telos Alliance's revolutionary Omnia MicroMPX codec. This is a specialized codec purpose-built for FM radio and is able to transport high-quality Multiplexed FM signals over a small 320kbps data pipe.
This is what you can expect from a standard Omnia SST:
- A high-quality multiplex audio and RDS signal can be directly routed over IP from your processor into a decoder application. opening up tremendous possibilities for efficient MPX audio transport.
- Omnia SST cleans and repairs incoming audio, optimizing it before it hits compression, limiting and final processing stages.
A 50/60Hz hum will be removed, clipped audio will be repaired using the Perfect Declipper, sound of lossy compressed audio (like MP3) will be improved and automatic phase problems in stereo will be repaired.

Earlier we mentioned that Omnia SST processing software supports MicroMPX codec. To have this you need an encoder and/or decoder. These are available both as a complete package with the software and as an later bought addition.
The MicroMPX encoder ensures that you get a reduced data stream with full high quality multiplex audio and RDS signal that can be sent directly over the IP from the processor to the transmitter.
The MicroMPX decoder ensures that you can receive and process a high quality MPX signal in the audio processing.
